JEE Main 2019 Cutoff Score Category Wise; Here are the Details

The exam conducting body, NTA will announce the Cutoff marks post result declaration of JEE Main. Along with All India Ranks, the expected JEE Main Cutoff will be released. JEE Main Cutoff marks are the minimum marks needed by aspirants to clear the JEE Main test. And, JEE Main Cutoff is needed by the candidates to clear the paper so that they can appear in the next level of the exam i.e. JEE Advanced. After clearing the advanced test, candidates can get admission into IITs.

JEE Main 2019 Cutoff for JEE Advanced

Below is the cut off for JEE Main 2019 needed by candidates to qualify for JEE Advanced 2019.

IIT JEE 2019 Expected Cutoff

JEE Main 2019 exam will be conducted on 8th April 2019. These exams will be held by offline and online mode. The result for this exam will be announced in April 2019. Cutoff mark is needed to clear the examination. After result declaration, CBSE will announce the Cutoff marks. In the previous year, the Cutoff marks for General category was 81, for OBC-NCL it was 49, for SC it was 32, for ST it was 27, 1 for PWD.

JEE Main Previous Years Cutoff Score

The table shows Cutoff from previous years. It also gives an idea about the probability of Cutoff for 2019 to the candidates appearing in the exam.

From the table above, it can be concluded that there has been a considerable decrease in Cutoff score in subsequent years as in 2014 Cutoff for general category was 81. 100, 105 and 115 respectively in 2019, 2016, 2015 and 2014. According to the expert’s studies, it can be concluded that due to the rise in JEE Advanced pool, the Cutoff score fell in 2016 as compared to 2015.

Also, the total number of candidates appeared for the exam in 2016 were more than those appeared in 2015. This, in turn, led to 50,000 more candidates shortlisted in 2016.

JEE Main Rank List

The main authority of JEE Main announces the All India Rank (AIR) in the last week of June. Depending upon the All India Rank, candidates can get admission into NITs, IITs, and GFTIs. Further, counseling is done on the basis of JEE Main exam marks. Then the aspirants get a call on the basis of their counseling. The merit list is prepared on the basis of 12th board percentage and the marks secured in JEE Main exam. For each category, a separate merit list is prepared.
